Volunteer Camp Good Grief

Adult Volunteers

Volunteers are the heart and soul of Camp Good Grief. Each year, over 100 volunteers help us provide a safe and caring environment for our Campers. Our volunteers serve as group co- leaders and activity facilitators. They also provide security, or are bus monitors and look for ways to be helpful to our campers all day long.

Volunteers are required to complete a basic bereavement training and our annual in-service programs.  Per state and county regulations, current medical evaluation and security background checks must be on file before one may volunteer at Camp.

Youth Volunteers

Youth volunteers are an essential part of Camp Good Grief. Youth Volunteers assist counselors and campers during group therapy and other camp activities including swimming, sports, games, arts & crafts and special events.

To volunteer you must be 15 years old at the time of the Youth Volunteer Training class and be able to commit to attending all 5 days of Camp.
